Allegro PCB SI has supported multiple simulation engines for well over seven years. Other than the native TLsim engine, HSpice has been one of the more popular simulation engine choices. This year at SNUG, we have been invited to meet with HSpice users and show them the value of running HSpice directly from the Cadence Allegro PCB SI environment. This demonstration shows HSpice running with IBIS models, and compares the results to TLsim and Spectre.
At SNUG, we will also be talking about how our Allegro 16.3 release of provides a new wizard for easy import of encrypted transistor-level HSpice models into the PCB SI environment.
Ran into a lot of old friends and had some good conversations about PCB and Package Signal Integrity at SNUG. IBIS-AMI seems to be the hot topic. The Cadence booth was busy! Thanks SNPS for the food, drink, and hospitality.
