All of your Allegro configuration settings, are stored inside of the PCBENV Directory which is created when you execute Allegro for the first time. This PCBENV Directory is normally located in your HOME Directory and a quick way to find out where that is open up a DOS Window (Start > Run > cmd) to see what directory it is in. Inside of the PCBENV Directory you will find the file called “env” which is the place to add your aliases. If you add them to the “env” file stored in Cadence\SPB_15.7\share\pcb\text (%CDSROOT% \share\pcb\text) they will not be preserved during software updates so it is best to modify your local “env” file stored in your PCBENV Directory.
When adding aliases to your local “env” file the entries must be below the "source $TELENV" line and above the User Preferences section.
