Yes you can. Add HEIGHT property to the symbol and when you package it automatically reflects to Allegro. In 3D view you may see the heights of components. If any help please don't hesitate to write.
With best regards

How can we add the HEIGHT property to a symbol? Can you please explain that?

One more doubt is there. How can we check whether the properties added to an existing symbol is reflected in the schematics or not?Is there any option to check the properties attached to a symbol in the schematic?
If you use PART TABLE FILES ( This is the strongest part of DE HDL ) you can define HEIGHT property as a KEY or INJECTED property. And then if you select the symbol with HEIGHT propery (visible or invisible ) then it reflects to sch and then PCB. We have been using PART TABLE FILES and we put extra usefull information to these fields. HEIGHT info is one of them. Try it. You'll see the results. And in the new 3D ( 16.3 release) you will see the heights in real. Yes you can export them to IDF files and mechanical person can see the height info. The only thing you have to be sure is the UNITS. if you work in mm then be sure PCB setup unit be mm.
Note : From PPT_OPTION_SET be sure that HEIGHT property is visible or unvisible for that symbol so that it attached to the sumbol.
I wish I am clear with my explanations. Because DE HDL is so flexible and need a lot effort to learn.
Thank you Ahmet. It was indeed a worth information for me.
I need some other information regarding this. The properties we are entering through this way will export to allegro pcb designer, right? But there are some properties that we dont want to export like manufacturer name etc,how can we enter these information? Is it the same way to be followed?
Yes that's right. Your information passes to PCB side. If you don't want to pass the information I am not sure how it is to be done but there must be ways of doing this.
I will try and share them with you. Regards for now.
I have tried but could not found a way. All poroperties exported to PCB back end. If someone knows may be he/she helps.
Click on the Advanced button towards the top of the Export Physical form. The capabilities present on the Properties tab of the Packager Setup form will allow you to do what you want. Especially explore clicking the Property Flow Setup button. Search Cadence Help or COS for more info.
