After installation it works then after a time it no longer launches, Is there a timeout ? using XP pro 32 bit.
The Demo has limited capabilities but no timebomb. Check any and all security software for reports of deletion or quatantine of software components from the Cadence installation directories.

More Info: It works fine until I reboot..or Microsoft update reboots for me.;>(.
For me Orcad Capture Demo 16.3 stops loading with a Runtime Error R6034
"An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime libpary incorrectly."
"Please contact the application's support team for more information."
Note that it worked okay for a while (a month or so), but now I get the above.
Seen this sort of thing before with licensing dongle problems, but I understood the demo wasn't time limited.
System is Win 7 64 bit, with a potting house worth of memory and a seperate good spec graphics card.

Check the path setting of your system. See if bringing cadence path ahead of other path setting makes any difference.
I have also experienced the same problem. For 1 month it was working fine. But when i installed ispLever program, it started giving runtime error.ispLEVER application was causing some problem. May be it has updated files of microsoft visual c++ library in the shared space and the Orcad cadence was searching for an older version of library files.I modified the PATH variables and deleted the ispLEVER path, then it was working correctly without any runtime library error. It is not easy to point out which application is preventing the Capture program.Anyways you may try by removing other applications PATH variable one by one.Gud luck :-)
