How do I get my parameters and color preferences to load automatically without having to select them at every startup? This weekend I I was making several new symbols and everytime I started a new symbol, I had to reload everything. Very annoying.
Hi Tom - If you open your env file you should see the preferences you set appearing at the lower part of the file. (If you don't know where your env is located you can go to Tools - Utilities - Env Variables and scrool down to envpath to find its' location) I've copied my env file below so you can see what mine looks like. I've highlighted the settings that are set via the User preferences. Hope this helps.

My paths point to where my parameter file is. I would just like Editor to load it automatically without me having to import it at every start up.

Hi Tom - I'm not sure why your env file is not loading directly when you launch Editor. That should happen. Hopefully someone else may have some idea. Sorry.
Response from Cadence:
There is no way to autoload the parameters. You either have to import them each time or create a script and run that to import the parameters. Or create a dummy symbol file with the parameters loaded and save it for use at start up, then do a save as to the file you want to work on.
Why is it that it seems like this program does very complicated things well, but really misses the target on some very simple - basic things..................
