unable to add text file to IPWL_F_RE_N_TIMES block

Hello,

I'm trying to add a text file to the property valule of the current source block to enter my own current profile as a function of time. It's unable to accept that file if i point to that filename using the path address.
Please help!

thanks,
Ram

Which PSpice version are you using? Do you have a licensed installation? What is the value that you are trying to set into the FILE property? What leads you to deduce the "it's unable to accept" that value? (like an error message??)

I'm using ORCAD PSPICE SPB 16.5 liscenced version. The text file that i load in the value has this path,"C:\Users\rmkotech\Desktop\Si7390". The text file contains two colums of data with 10 values of time and currents. Is this the right way to do this? The schematic has a voltage source, a current source, and RC parallel components. Below is the error I'm getting.

    Reading and checking circuit

ERROR(ORPSIM-15347): Cannot open input file C:\Users\rmkotech\Desktop\Si7390.

ERROR(ORPSIM-15347): Cannot open input file C:\Users\rmkotech\Desktop\Si7390.

    Run aborted

Circuit has errors ... run aborted

    See output file for details

    INFO(ORPROBE-3188): Simulation aborted

You need an explicit path and file name for the text file, Si7390 could be the name of a text file but "something.txt" is a lot more likely, in which case, the value for the FILE property would be: C:\Users\rmkotech\Desktop\Si7390.txt, or C:\Users\rmkotech\Desktop\Si7390\something.txt if your text file is called "something.txt". So far, the simulator is not finding the file so the value of the FILE property is incorrect so the internal contents have not been checked. The file should contain <time value><tab><variable value> entries, one per line, time entries must be always increasing values between lines in the file. You can use value multipliers and scientific notation for any of the values, like 3.3n or 3.3e-9 but not 3n3.
