Hello,When we include z-axis delay then from where it get the cylinder length? Is it read from setup advisor > crosssection? As a trace is only running between first & second layer and other one is between first & last layer in a 18 layer stackup with 140mil board thickness. So how can it calculate it?
The z-axis delay is measured using the settings contained within the cross section. For this extra delay rule to be calculated correctly the cross section value must be correct. The dielectric and copper thickness between the entry and exit layers are calculated and added to the overall propagation delay to give the final result.KP
