Hi All, Can anyone suggest me some links for package designing tutorials with some samples to work on that i.e some lab exercises. Thanks in Advance.
Hi,I can see that none have answered this, but in the directory C:\Cadence\SPB_15.7\doc\wb_tut there are tutorials with files for Allegro Package Design.
How to open this in UNIX? Kindly mail me @ firstname.lastname@example.org .. Thanks in anticipation!
They are platform neutral. The tutorials mentioned in the previous reply are databases (.mcm) you can open in the tool (in the 'examples' folder), and instructions that walk you through the tool set. You can open either the html instruction files with a browser, or there is a .pdf (adobe file)Bill

I'm a newbie in APD and trying to route a flip chip design. I have imported the die information into the design and got the BGA set up. So now, I have the bumps , balls and blind/buried vias definitions set up. I am stuck at this point where I have to assign the power/ground nets to the power/gnd solder balls. I assigned the rest of the signal nets through the auto assign command. I have around 15 power planes. Any advice/help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
