After inductor cell generation (done with Passive Component Designer - PSD) I made DRC check, that found errors in the layout schematic. The problem is that some vias are placed too near to the edge of the polysilicon Patterned Ground Shield - PGD. I tried to remove the vias or correct the layout, but it cannot be edited in the way that allows for example deleting of single vias/components. The whole inductor layout is devided into two 'instances' - the inductor and PGD. They are treated as a whole and none of the comrising components like vias can be moved or deleted. I have tried using edit commands like chop, ungroup, split.. no success.Anyone has idea how to handle it? It is strange that tool generates layout that does not conform to DRC rules...
Select the PCD inductor and do Edit->Hierarchy->Flatten. PCD also creates a layout_flat view, you can edit that one and do DRC on it.

Also, I should point out that Virtuoso Passive Component Designer has been discontinued since the end of 2008.
