I have to run Monte Carlo simulations of a circuit for a particular analyses (say SP sims) and analyze the data. What is the best way in which I can store the data so that I can process them. I use MATLAB for my data processing applications. Is there an option in Cadence where in I can directly export the simulation data to MATLAB?
There is a spectre toolbox for Matlab in the MMSIM stream. This allows you to directly read the simulation result database in Matlab.
Look in <MMSIMinstDir>/tools/spectre/examples/SpectreRF_workshop/SpectreRF_AN at MatlabAN.pdf and MatlabWorkshop.pdf (it's also covered in the documentation), and it will explain what exists and how to use it.
It's also possible in ViVA (in IC61X) to export from the results browser to Matlab.
In IC61X, you can also use Matlab measures in ADE XL (you can do the same kind of thing with VSDE if you're using IC5141).
