i encounter a problem
when i abstract the stand cell lef and load into soc encounter, i find the yellow pin of the cell out of metal(the pin'metal). it can be DRC problem when do route.
someone can help me how the yellow pin position from?
thanks a lot!!
The "yellow pin" that SoC-Encounter creates is a marking that approximates the location of the many pin geometries that define valid connection points for the router. It is useful for doing quick flight line analysis of connections visually, but routers like NanoRoute do *not* consider the yellow pin a valid connection point. Only the actual pin geometries are valid connection points, so it shouldn't seem like a major issue for the yellow pin to be a little misaligned with the physical pin shapes.
Generally, I see the yellow pin on top of at least one pin geometry. Are you seeing the yellow pin very far away in your case? Maybe you could post a screen shot if it is far away and we could have a look.
In reply to Robert Dwyer:
but i donot know how to upload the screen shot.
because i change the layout height of stand cell and move the cell origin down. and i find yellow pin out of metal has relationship with the metal1 pitch in the tech file.as i known "
