So I'm trying to find some sort of method for doing full chip analog regression testing. I found some sort of specification documentation here:
However, I am having no luck figuring out how to define these specifications using ocean scripting. In the chip design, I don't want to have to launch a series of experiments by hand every night. I would much rather fire off a script and return in the morning to find what broke.
So I've got a few questions:
1) Is it possible to define and check specifications purely in ocean?2) Is it possible to associate a specification with a cell such that every time that cell is included in a specification check simulation its specification will be checked?
You can do this (define specs) with OCEAN XL. Easiest way to do that is to create the setup in ADE XL and then create a script from the UI.
For the second, it's not possible to take the specs along with the cell. Those are more like assertions, I'd say. We have some ideas on this, but nothing concrete yet.
Best to contact customer support or your account team and then a proper dialog can be had, and an enhancement made to R&D.
