I´d like to do a cosimulation between cadence and simulink to simulate my low-level
design within my simulink model.
I did all the settings (as described in the Co-simulation with SpectreRF Matlab/Simulink
Tutorial), so all paths have been set correctly. And the spectreRF engine is found in my
simulink model file.
In the ADE L environment in Cadence I chose the settings for the matlab/simulink cosimulation and the corresponding input and output sources. When I start the simulation in ADE L matlab starts together with the model I want to work with. So the working directory is found. Nevertheless it is not possible to establish a connection between cadence and simulink. The ports I used are the same. I used 60s as connection time but the simulation always exits due to time out.
Does anyone have an idea how I can fit this? Or has anyone worked succesfully with this kind of cosimulation before?
I'm working with Virtuoso IC188.8.131.520.6, Spectre 7.2, Matlab 2010b. I have also checked the paths: MATLABPATH refers to ../tools/spectre/matlab and also to ../tools/spectre/simulink
Please log a service request with customer support at http://support.cadence.com . I have done this numerous times and it works - so probably needs some detailed investigation to find out why it is failing for you.
In reply to Andrew Beckett:
Hello Andrew Beckett,
thanks for your fast reply. I'm working at the university right now. I'm not sure if i'm allowed to use this service. I have to talk to several people about the types of access we have. This will for sure take a while :-(
Maybe you have an idea and can give me hint, what causes this error (connection timeout)
