Hi All,I have some simulations requesting to run at very small time steps. However I don't need to store this huge amount of data and I don't need to plot this huge amount of points as well.Do you know if there is some mean to store an undersampled version of the computed data?(for example 1 point of 10).Thks in advance,Best regards,Axel
Use the transient option "skipcount" for this. See "spectre -h tran".Regards,Andrew.
Besides skipcount it is often better to use the spectre strobe feature (although with the wrong value it can produce more data) as you can like a stripchart reader specify a "sample" rate and only those values get saved. Such as strobeperiod=10n would result in Spectre ensuring that every 10ns that the matrix is solved and only these points are written to the output while other points are not. For both skipcount and strobeperiod you can specify this for just a part of the simulation.
If you don't care about the results at the beginning of your simulation you might also consider the spectre tran option: outputstart which allows you to only save data after this time has happened.
