Is it possible to select rod objects based on databased Id.
This is very clearly described in the Relative Object Design User Guide. Did you read that? It's in <instDir>/doc/roduser/roduser.pdf
In reply to Andrew Beckett:
The proceedure mentioned in roduser.pdf mentions that we need to explicitly select the object and apply the commands. But If a write a script to generate a rodCreatePath to genearte the rodobj, and want to flatten it without using explicit select command. Is it possible.
In reply to infy:
That's just an example. There's no requirement to select it in order to use rodGetObj - it's just how it is being illustrated in the document. If you look at the rodGetObj() documentation, it doesn't say you have to select it.
If you want to "flatten" it, you can get the rodId from the return value of the function you used to create it, or you can use rodGetObj() with a dbId that you find however you want - e.g. by looking over cv~>shapes, say.
