Hi All ,
I want to know how many objects(and cellname...) are going to stretch(bindkey: S) before stretch command action.
If you're using pre-selection, isn't this just length(geGetSelSet()) ? If you're using post-selection, it can't know because you've not selected them yet...
In reply to Andrew Beckett:
I ony use the stretch command , I don't know the pre-selection how the stretch command does.
Or how can i add pre-selection in stretch command ?
In reply to Charley Chen:
Many of the editing commands in Virtuoso (e.g. copy, move, stretch etc) allow both pre- and post-selection. The idea is that if you have anything selected before you start the command, it will operate on what is selected. If nothing was selected, it will prompt you to select the items to operate on.
You can also partially select objects in advance (hit the F4 key to toggle between partial and full selection modes).
So there's nothing special you need to do in the command to use either pre- or post-selection; it's purely dependent upon whether anything was selected when you start the command.
How can i add pre-selection in stretch command ?
As I said, just select (or partially select) the objects you want to stretch before you start the stretch command. That's all.
Sorry , but user will forget to check the objects and do stretch command , can it be like a wrapper ?
Filter selected objects and do something and the ... before stretch command .
Perhaps it would help if you explained precisely what you are trying to do (and why)?
Of course, you could write a function which did some operation on the selected set, and then called leHiStretch(). But that's fairly obvious, so I'm guessing I still don't understand your objective?
