CadenceLIVE Silicon Valley is back as an in-person event for 2022, in the Santa Clara Convention Center as usual. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 8 and Thursday, June 9.

Vaccination

You must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend CadenceLIVE Silicon Valley. I'll put the details as to just what that means at the end of this post.

Overall Schedule

Here's a table with the overall schedule for the two days:

The day opens with breakfast and registration from 8:00am to 9:00am.

Lunch is from 12:00pm to 1:30pm both days, in the designer expo (see below for more details).

On Wednesday, there is also a break from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. Then, at the end of that day, there is a reception from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

The schedule is different on Thursday. It starts with registration and breakfast from 8:00am, there is a mid-morning break from 10:15am to 10:45am, and the event wraps up with the awards ceremony from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.

Technical Tracks

The main part of each day will be taken up with technical tracks, of which there are eleven. If I have counted correctly there are just over 80 different presentations.

Giveaways

Yes, there are giveaways as always. Completing the conference survey will get you a Chyrp Bluetooth speaker and getting stamps from 10 exhibitors will get you a nifty 2-in-1 light-up USB charging cable. As always, while supplies last.

Books

I've written another book, this time with colleague Frank Schirrmeister. Another change this year is that we are producing more than one book, each on an individual topic. This book covers Hyperscale Datacenters. Come by the registration desk at the Cadence booth and the plan is that Frank and I will be there giving copies away and signing them.

Registration

Vaccination Details

In line with its current vaccination policy, Cadence will require proof of vaccination to attend CadenceLIVE Silicon Valley, a Cadence-sponsored event. Cadence will use ID.me’ s Health Check app to digitally verify your vaccination status for expedited check-in. How to upload your proof of vaccination will be in your registration confirmation email.

In addition to ID.me verification, we also accept verification of your vaccination status by one of the following options:

• COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card1) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date doses administered); OR
• A photo of a vaccination card as a separate document; OR
• A photo of the attendee’s vaccine card stored on a phone or electronic device; OR
• Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider.
