Using Search Filters to Improve Search Results on support.cadence.com

While using any search engine, you might often feel there is too much information or too many results and wish to narrow down results. All search engines may not provide such an option, but Cadence Support Portal search provides an extensive list of filters to narrow down your search results.

Log in to Cadence Support Portal. Perform a search in the search box on the home page.

You get the search results page as follows:

Clicking on any of the options available in the left (Filter Results) pane narrows down the search results as per selection.

Selecting options from different sections helps refine the search further.

Suppose you want to see only “Application Notes” for “Tempus”. You can get these by selecting “Tempus” from the “Products” filter (2) and “Application Notes” from the “Document Types” filter (5).

You get the refined search results page as follows:

Clicking on the “x” icon next to the selected option relaxes that filter, keeping the other filters applied. Filters can also be relaxed by clicking on the “All” option on top of each section. For example, clicking on “All Products” relaxes filters applied on Products.
