SEMINATEC 2023 – Educating on Micro and Nano Technology

Cadence was a proud sponsor of the SEMINATEC 2023 conference, held at the University of Campinas in Brazil from March 29-31, 2023. This conference brings together industry representatives, academia, research and development centers, government organizations, and students to discuss real opportunities to improve education, research, and technology in the areas of micro- and nanotechnology. This conference was a great opportunity for Cadence folks to network with customers, build relationships with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) in Brazil, and deepen our connection with SBMicro.

I participated in the “Status and Challenges of IC Design in Brazil” panel, alongside HCL and Lumentum. I got to share about the current status of Cadence tools in Brazil and worldwide, the importance of continuing investment in microelectronics, and how Cadence is at the forefront of the semiconductor industry by expanding into the systems space. I also got to learn about trends and future innovations from the keynote and other presentations, delivered by some of the major players in the semiconductor industry in Brazil, including key professors and researchers.

Another highlight was getting to network with students and share about how Cadence is a great place to work. Thank you to the team for joining me at the table!

It was great to meet with key customers and professors from top universities to discuss how we can cultivate our relationship with the local team in Brazil and expand our reach to future customers. We were also excited to connect with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation about collaborating to strengthen the microelectronics and systems ecosystem in Brazil. Cadence is playing a valuable role in accelerating innovation, and participating in events like this allows us to build the necessary partnerships to help shape the future of technology.
