LAS VEGAS--It's the biggest trade show in North America and seems to be getting bigger, and while the Cadence meeting suite has been a hive of activity, around it--and around Las Vegas--hundreds of thousands of tech enthusiasts are lapping up the latest in electronics technologies.
I've been here two days and seen just a fraction of what's going on. Here's an early take: drones and robotics are big. A number of booths are located just a drone's flight from where the meeting room is situated. Automotive is huge but that exploration will wait for tomorrow. Over at the Sands, it's packed with countless IoT, wearables and 3D printer vendors vying for attention.
Here's a roundup of views of what's happening at CES 2015:
Here at Cadence, our troops used the event and our meeting suite to run a number of IP-related demos and get the word out about the just-announced HiFi 4 Tensilica DSP technology. Richard Goering touched on this in a blog, and I've been updating from the show via our live blogging feed.
Lots more to cover and more to come from the desert. Stay tuned!
