Friday Fun: InCyte Chip Estimator infomercial

This is our second (and last, for now) foray into the genre of cheesy American commercial advertisement. Here was our first attempt.

I've been fascinated with the infomercial approach ever since I received "The ShamWow" for Father's Day from my proud son, who then asked for some red wine to pour on our carpet so I could try it out. Anyway, these infomercials always do a good job showing the product in action.

Here at Cadence we have some great chip estimation and planning technology with the InCyte Chip Estimator. If you're not familiar, it is connected to the ChipEstimate.com IP database, so you can estimate your chip project selecting from the widest selection of IP, memory, and libraries. You can do what-if exploration for advanced power savings techniques. And it estimates not only technical aspects like area, utilization, and power, but also economic metrics such as silicon, package, and test costs. However it will not absorb that red wine you spilled on your carpet.
