OK, OK - I'm sure you don't "need" SPB16.3 to see all the cool whiz-bang features in Windows 7. But, you can now run the SPB16.3 (and very soon the ADW16.3) release on Windows 7.You can always visit the Cadence Online Support Cadence Support News area for the latest information about releases, platforms, CDNLive information, etc. The official Windows 7 announcement for the SPB16.3 release can be found here.A few key points:

please where can i find the SPB16.3 for my windows7? I am trying to install PSpice on my computer but this message keep coming out " No SPB16.3 installation found. Exit the setup" Thanks for your help.
Yes - the ADW16.31 release is supported on the Windows 7 platform.
Is ADW supported on Windows 7?
Hi - according to my reply above, and feedback from our R&D team, you can install the Windows 7 OS on a 64bit system. You should not need a virtual machine. If your having issues, please contact our Cadence Customer Support team - http://support.cadence.com/
So for the record. Is it officially possible to install it on a windows 7 64bit system without virtual machine?
Hi Ellis - may I ask that you please contact our Cadence Customer Support team so that they can help you debug this issue?
What you can try is to add to your PATH variable the value:
This may resolve the problem - let me know.
Tried Win7 64 bit installation of SPB 16.3 with hotfix, and Concept HDL will not run offering System Error that program cannot find oaDesign.dll on computer. But it is actually located at C:\Cadence\SPB_16.3\OpenAccess\bin\win32\opt\oaDesign.dll .
Does anyone know what my installation problem is?
There is no need to run VM Ware to run our tools on WINT7 64 bit.
You simply need to install our tools directly on the 64Bit OS. The Windows operating system takes care of the fact that we are providing 32 bit executables.
When will native 64 bit support in Win 7 be available. I would think most workstations are now running 64 bit veriosn of the OS, and having to run Orcad in a VM Ware window all the time is painful.
Thanks for the feedback. While you "may" be able to run prior SPB versions on Windows 7, only the SPB16.3 HotFix s005 has been tested and confirmed to run properly. Just something to be aware of if issues arise with other versions.
I've had success with Windows 7 and SPB, back to 16.2. So go ahead and give it a shot - all the other goodies baked into Windows 7 are certainly worth upgrading IMO!
Since you're mentioning SPB on Windows 7, I'll point out that the taskbar icons are too small for Windows 7 and look ugly, compared with Windows 7's native programs. It doesn't affect functionality at all, but it is an eyesore. That's the only negative I've noticed, which should be viewed as a recommendation :)
