Does anyone have the Cap2Con translator they could give me? I've been
made aware it's now only available through the "Services" department at
I need to translate all my legacy Capture schematics to Concept, and
need the tool to get going. It IS NOT installed with the current tools
(since v14 I suspect).

How to use the tool cap2con.exe? Is it useful?
This is Kiruba. I am working on a PCB design project. I am using Allegro 16.3 Concept HDL to create schematics. I dont have access to all the libraries in my linux version. I need LED, Transformers and other passive component symbols which are not available. Is there a way to convert the Orcad capture library to concept or can I download the library files at some place? I heard cap2con will do that but it is only for windows verion. i have a linux version.

You can use PCB Librarian and it will convert OrCAD library parts to DEHDL (ConceptHDL).
If you need to translate schematics, then in addition to cap2con.exe from Cadence, Elgris (www.elgris.com) has the tool E-studio to translate schematics and libraries from OrCAD to Concept.

I am running version 16.6.005 and when I tried to run cap2con.exe in command prompt or by doule-click the file, nothing happens. Can someone help me with this? Thanks.
