I've a problem. I need to make an oblong drill for a special Footprint. The problem is, to make an oblong drill is not possible.

In the Parameters tab of Pad Designer for the 'Drill/Slot hole' section select "Oval Slot". Add the Slot size X and Slot size Y dimensions plus any tolerances. Finish the padstack as you would any other padstack.When you create the drill files you will need to create an nc route file (Manufacturing >NC >NC Route)that tells the fab house how to create the slots.~Rik

Which is not needed if you use ODB++ where the slot information is embedded. :)
I have a problem. I have defined an oblong hole in the same way as you have insisted. But the same hole is not generated when an emn and emp file is imported in Proe and Autovue. Its taking the slot size X (smallest dia )and not reading the Slot size Y. Please suggest a solution.

I'm pretty sure that IDF3.0 doesn't support "Slots" and currently that's a limit of the IDF export. You could try drawing the slot on Board Geometry / Outline layer and that should export with the IDF output.

Thanks for the reply. I request if you could find a text or any supporting document to justify this. Its hard for me to explain the same to my client and I have wasted 3days to find a solution for the same.
Just do a Google search for IDF 3.0 format and you'll find the specification.
