With artwork you have the capability to output either Inches or Millimeter data. This setting should match what your design is in (Setup >Design Parameters; Design tab) where the artwork parameter inches should be used with design in Mils or Inches. Other design units should use the artwork format of Millimeters.Your drill legend can be output in any unit that is listed in the pulldown for "Output unit". As this is just a textual output it can be whatever you like.The warning "WARNING: database resolution exceeds the resolution of the output coordinates (see FORMAT in parameter file)" relates to the database resolution and the format you are using for your artwork. A MILS database with an accuracy of 0 is the equivalent of INCHES with 3 places of accuracy (.001 inches) so your artwork format should be Integer 2 Decimal 3 for Vector based artwork. For Raster based artwork, which wants the artwork output to be 1 decimal place greater than the design units, that would be Integer 2 decimal 4Database units/accuracy Raster(RS274X) output setting Vector (6x00,4x00) settingsMILS 0 Integer 2 decimal 4 Integer 2 decimal 3MILS 1 Integer 2 decimal 5 Integer 2 decimal 4MILS 2 Not applicable Integer 2 decimal 5
I will assume you are generating vector (6x00, or 4x00) artwork.Do you have an art_aper.txt file in the directory or the path specified by your artpath variable?When you are in the "Edit Aperture Wheels" GUI select 'OK'.An art_aper.txt file will be created.If this does not work select from the Allegro menu Tools >Utilities> Env variables.
