Using Allegro OrCAD PCB Designer v16.3.S009
I have a 2.4GHz impedance controlled antenna trace that has a ground pour around it. I would like to pull back the ground pour at least 30 mils from this antenna trace. Is there a property or something in the net or trace that I can set such that it will automatically do this? I've manually created voids to the desired relief distance in the past and have decided that this can't be the best way to do this.
Use spacing constraint or constraint area.
LIke girish says, use a spacing constraint.
When you set it up in the constraint manager you can assign the antenna net a name like "RF" and then state a rule that all nets shall stay 30 mils away from RF. Or you could be more specific and make a rule for ground and then one that states that RF to ground and that spacing alone shall be 30 mils.
Take a look at the constraint manager guide to get started...and then post up if you have more questions.
