I am using orcad 16.5, i need your help for starting it...i have drawn two led with power source gnd and vcc but for led pcb footprint i doulble click on led symbol it ask forPCB FOOTPRINT..
so, what to use there i have no idea...
Please help me with pcb footprint...
In reply to RITESH KAKKAR:
DIY, I suggest you to read some introductory book or tutorial on what is all about. Search the web for those. You did not specify either parts of your circuit. Nothing can be done without them.
In reply to tltoth:
You need to tell the tools the name of the LED footprint. If there is not one available then create one. Take a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfCM0Ho8IE0 which walks through how to create a footprint.
In reply to steve:
Thanks for the link i have downloaded the PCB footprint file from there....
I waiting foryour help, showing error...

its fine, downloaded from here....
please help me.
did you check your library path? Led not found in PSMPATH, then check those pin 2 and pin 3 error
"WARNING(SPMHNI-194): Symbol 'VLED_3MM' for device 'LED55B/TO_VLED_3MM_LED55B/TO' not found in PSMPATH or must be "dbdoctor"ed."
ERROR(SPMHNI-196): Symbol 'LED_3MM' for device 'LED55B/TO_LED_3MM_LED55B/TO' has extra pin '2'.ERROR(SPMHNI-195): Symbol 'LED_3MM' for device 'LED55B/TO_LED_3MM_LED55B/TO' is missing pin '3'.
The footprint symbol "LED_3MM" was found OK but the pins on the schematic part don't exactly match the specified footprint. It looks like your schematic symbol has pins 1 and 3 but the specified footprint has pins 1 and 2, hence the footprint has an extra pin 2, not on the schematic part, and a missing pin 3, on the schematic part but not in the footprint.

How to correct or check ??
The problem was in Led part ihave changed it to another no error/warning and created gerbile tested in gerber logix tool box from Google it shows the gerber as it was created..
I am tired from all the information with led footprint tolerance/shape/text is there any use of it?
and how to add this black portion on board while desiging as shown here...
those information used for manufacturing and debugging purposes.
you can paste to your pcb and use photo etch.make sure you will use
