Hi AllIs there a way to define differnet line width and spacing for a specific area in the PCB ?.if yes : do i define it in Allegro ( or can it be defined some how in Orcad Capture ?) is it being passed to the auto router ( specctra ), are there any other properties specific to an area ?thank'sroby
You can define an area in Allegro, these come in two forms, Physical and Spacing. Within an area you can specify any linewidth or spacing, via choice basically any physical or spacing attribute may be changed to refer specifically to your area. Remember the ruleset that you create and apply must be defined and attributed in the Constraints / Assignment table.

Roby,The simple answer is yes.Create and attach the same physical property to the required nets as well as the area and, as KP implied, set up the assignment table so those nets obey the rule only in that area.Cheers!Drew
