Is there a way to open a PDF file from skill? (I am using windows XP)
In my Skill Program, I want to link layout notes (PDF) for certain components. That way I'll be able to know which parts need special attention.
Try axlPdfView( filename )
In reply to Randy R:
Thanks Randy, that's what I am looking for :)

It is great .Can we read from file PDF?
Can read line or Text from PDF ? example this picture.
I spent much time to draw this line form Allegro.
Can you give me advice to help more quickly
In reply to ELEKVN:
Not to my knowledge. However, if you can copy the text from the PDF and paste it into a text program like Notepad. Then you could read that file.
I think Allegro only read file notepad, so it can't read line.
How about you
Yes you are correct,it can read only note pad.
I acn suggest one more option, you can import " .bmp file " using some skill file.,then you do not require to capture the stack up etc...
I am unable to open the PDF file can you please help me
before running the command where i need to place the respected pdf file...?
In reply to soori3:
Thanks for your nice sharing. But when it comes to pdf processing problem, I have a question to ask you. I wonder whether I need some 3rd party pdf text extraction toolkits to help me extract text from pdf files. If so, it will be better if itt offers free trial package for users to check. I will try it later and send you feedback.
