I had some old schematics whose instances were placed on an unusual grid and when I copy those instances into a new schematic I am working on, they are placed off grid and I can't quite wire them up right. Is there a simple way to get those instances to snap on to the grid?
Or better yet, is there a way to copy the parameters of an instance and paste them into another instance in one go?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I've not used this code for a while, but I think it should work on schematics too - https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1Od0000000nWVlEAM&pageName=ArticleContent
As for copying properties from one instance to another, you could use the SKILL function dbCopyProp(instId1 instId2). So maybe select two instances, in right order (I think from first, and to second), and then dbCopyProp(car(geGetSelSet()) cadr(geGetSelSet()))
Make sure you try this out carefully yourself first on something non-critical, as I've not tested these ideas!
