I was trying to perform a statistical analysis, but encountered some problems:1) According to this tutorial : http://asic.austriamicrosystems.com/hitkit/circuit_sim/montecarlo/monte_spectre.html I am supposed to to open Tools -> Monte Carlo in ADE window. Unfotunatelly there is no 'Monte Carlo' under 'Tools' in ADE Window.
2) So I switched to ADE XL, where Monte Carlo Analysis option is available. I setup a simulation according to Cadence Tutorial on adexl. When I start analysis, it just does not run. there is no error in CIW, and ADE says the simulation is in progress, but there is no effect.
What I am trying to analyse is a simple delay cell (Inverter buffer) and I would like to see the impact of process variations and mismatch on delay of this cell. I am using IC610 and HitKit 4.0
The problem might be due to this. Check to see if the gdbm package is installed on your machine.
