APD viewer script to list coordinates of specific objects?

Hello everyone,

I am looking for some hints on how to create/record a script in APD viewer to automatically list the coordinates of specific objects used in the design, e.g. vias. The record feature within the APD viewer can "emulate" clicks, like measuring distances with a ruler, but there does not seem to be an option embedded in the viewer (e.g.  in File ->... or Setup->...) to output coordinates of objects.

Thanks for your help.

it would be difficult to manage/change the setup on the viewer.

one thing u might want to do is to create a showcut key for the object locations so that u do not need to click icons each time u need them.

the command u need is "show element" which u need to place as a funckey on the env file.

the following is an example to assign F4 as the show element command.

    alias F4 "show element"

u need to place it on the env file.

to find where the env file is locations, type set on the command line, then find where the pcbenv folder is located under "set  amimodelpath ="

    env.zip
