Not sure if it's because I have Acrobat Distiller instead of Ghostscript or what.
But, if I have >Preferences, >Grid near the grid color checked,
PDFs get exported with large-ish grid dots *everywhere*.
Is this by design or have I goofed something up?
(yeah, we're late to 17.2 because *cough* PADS causes me to have 16.6 running... May have to keep 16.6 to plot PDFs, which would be dumb.)
Sorry. I don't have that issue, and I'm running the same as you are. I would suspect it's in the grid options you have in the schematic. You'll probably have to play with the options in Capture and see if you can fix it.
Yes, the checkbox to the left of Grid in Colors is Print, so that you can control whether the Grid, in this case, is printed, or not. What happens when you Export PDF is a Postscript file gets generated and that is converted to PDF using Ghostscript, or Acrobat Distiller, they, in turn, add their own "flavour" to the PDF that wasn't in the original printed document. So, dots that were "small" in the printed document may well be converted to "something you can see" when the PDF conversion gets to it.
Bummer. The 16.6 function wasn't easy to get to, but it ignored the grid display setting.
Working on deploying the CapIniManager function now for coworkers who come from Concept and don't understand why grids are important in Capture. O_o
