True type Fonts in Orcad X Presto.

Hey everyone,

We're excited to remind you that starting from version 25.1, you can now utilize TrueType fonts in Presto to add a professional touch to your designs.

To get started, simply click the Add Text      icon found in the floating toolbar. A window will pop up, allowing you to choose a font type and set your desired font height. Take this opportunity to define your class and subclass as needed.

You can also customize and save your font style preferences for future use. Just head to Setup > Design Parameters Editor, select Text, give your style a name, and choose your preferred font type and height. You can even specify the format to make it your own.

Your new style will be readily available in the drop-down menu, making it easy to reuse and streamline your design process.

Give it a try and let us know what you think!"

I have installed a true-type font "Andale Mono" which uses an 0 with a centered dot as the digit zero. This distinguishes a zero from the danish and norwegian letter Ö which is an O with a straight line through it. This character is also sometimes used as the digit zero in anglosaxian (computer) litterature.

The Andale Mono font is used in my schematics and was installed years ago. When testing the new 25.1 PCB-Editor, there were indeed a lot of fonts available but to a bit of surprize, the Andale Mono was not one of them.

It seems that while this font can be used in Capture (tested and found to be OK), the PCB editor does not find it. Checking the options above - there was no possibility to include this font.
