PSpice installation on Windows 7

Xavras

I tried to install PSpice 9.1 Student Version on my Windows 7 and I always get the same problem. I doubleclick the setup.exe file but the installation never starts. I tried running it as an admin or using compatibility modes, but it doesn't help. The setup appears in the task manager, but it doesn't run. Does anyone know what to do with that?

Same problem (Windows 7 32 bits).

Similar root cause as reported by Felipe (thanks to him) but in my case it was because I had open VLC media player (v 1.1.10).

TRY CLOSING every program before launching the installer.

     Cheers, Fabio

I had no problem with running the installation, and everything looked fine. However the libraries did not install. Any ideas?

I assume you have installed Lite version of PSpice. In Lite(demo) version only a small set of libraries are shipped.
