I was thinking prior I would select the pin and edit its number but now the trying to change the text doesn't work for me either but yes I was in the .dra file

I selected Edit - Text and that solved it. Thanks for helping me work this through.

Try this:

Edit-Text

Make sure you have Package Geometry - Pin Number selected for the active Class / Sub Class

Then click on the pin text and type in the new number.

This will work assuming you are editing the footprint .dra file as Steve points out.

Sorry should have been more specific. To edit the Pin number you MUST be in the symbol editor and be editing the filename.dra file. Edit the pin names here then save and then update the symbol in the design. Remember this is tied to the netlist from the schematic so pin numbers must match.

Do what Steve suggests but also go to the find tab and select "all off" then select "text". This will ensure you only select the text of the pin.

Edit - Change then select the Pin Number you want to change and change it.
