Do digital components/signals simulate faster than analog in PSPICE?
I'm asking because I have typically seen digital blocks implemented using analog functionality. For example, a digital block is still treated as analog signal by using a behavioral model to implement AND, BUF, INV, etc.
Trying to model a switching power supply (control loop and all) and typically there is a long simulation time, which is mostly due to the switching nature and small-time step needed. If I changed the implementation of the digital blocks so PSPICE treats them as true digital signals, would this speed up simulation time?
