Troubles while running Virtuoso on an Ubuntu machine

Hello.

I installed the 32bit version Ubuntu 12.04. There I installed IC nad the AMS 3.70 process and done the standard set-up (tested on previous CentOS machines). Also, the license server works fine.

After running:

ams_cds -tech c35b4 -mode fb

Everything seems to be in order, the library manager starts, Virtuoso schematic also and so on. The problem appears when I try to run the simulation. Then, the simulation software reports that the models don't exist. A more detailed check of what the main window writes out took me to a part where it says that the file:

...../ams_cds

does not exist. That file, of course, exists and it is at the correct path. Also, user priviledges are correct (755).

Has anyone seen this kind of problem? What are the possible reasons?

NOTE: I will ask the same question at Ubuntu forum.

Thank you.
