Measurement Description Language (MDL) is an immensely powerful feature in our simulators that is frequently overlooked. MDL gives the designer advanced control of our simulators allowing them to run better simulations quicker. Below is a quick demo to get you started. spectreMDL is a very powerful tool. I have found some alternate uses such as performing circuit trim before simulations. However one of the big drawbacks of spectreMDL is that it does not support all the analysis. In particular stability and dcmatch would be good to have. It is possible to check stability the traditional way, but this is not as good as the stability analysis method. Two other things that would be nice would be tighter integration to ADE, and a way to build custom measurement functions as is possible in skill.
