As promised, here is my photo blog of Day 1 of DVCon, focused on the OVM Multi-Language tutorial and the show floor. While I've added descriptive captions to the photos, here are some quick takes:
* Adam, Brett, and the others at the OVM Multi-Language tutorial reported that the session was very interactive, with a lot of great Q&A that indicated a clear need for this enhancement to the methodology.
* FAQ: how was the traffic on show floor? Answer: in my unscientific opinion the traffic was noticibly lower than prior years, but not ruinously so.
* In past DVCons, 98% of the people I spoke to in the booth were doing verification. This year, the ratio seemed more like a 50-50 split between design and verification. (Of course, I recommend taking this with a grain of salt -- I guesstimate I personally spoke to a dozen attendees, so the this data is purely anecdotal, and it's only Day 1.)
