Shocking Technologies is excited to partner with Cadence to ultimately provide a seamless integration solution that allows our mutual customers to utilize Shocking’s XStatic series VSDM in their PCB designs. Many development activities are currently in process that will allow PCB Design Engineers to automate and verify this integration in the near future.
Our primary goal is to provide our customers a single ESD protection scheme without the use of costly, real-estate consuming, passive components that protect approximately 10% of I/O's on any PCB. ESD problems typically require numerous PCB revisions to address findings from post ESD testing. Our solution protects the entire PCB and every component and net on the PCB from the very beginning.
We at Shocking are working hard towards finalization and complete reliability and extended life testing on our initial offering. We have successfully demonstrated the technology in numerous production applications and are extremely pleased with the results.
