2017 Workshop on Electronic Design Automation in Tainan Taiwan

7 Dec 2017 • 1 minute read

It was the third continuous year that Cadence Academic Network supported the Workshop on Electronic Design Automation (EDA) in Taiwan. The event was hosted by National Cheng Kung University in Tainan on December 2-3, 2017.

This Workshop attracted over 150 attendees from academia, it helped students to know more about the EDA industry and gave them a chance to talk with industry experts face to face. It also provided a unique opportunity for EDA users to share their research practices and created a platform for top tier EDA universities in Taiwan to exchange of domestic professors' opinions in the EDA field.

During the event, Mr. Jess Yang, Cadence Taiwan R&D Director gave a talk on “EDA, Things You Need to Know”.

The Ministry of Education Republic of China (Taiwan) recognized Cadence’s contribution to jointly cultivate the EDA research environment in Taiwan and awarded us with a certificate of Appreciation. Mr. Jess Yang also gave awards to the winners of the 2017 CAD contest which the Taiwan Cadence R&D team was actively involved in.

This workshop on EDA demonstrated Cadence Academic Network’s mission to further strengthen our position in Taiwan academia.
