Great Academic Networking in Taiwan

With the support of the Cadence Academic Network, Cadence Taiwan joined the 27th VLSI Design/CAD 2016 Symposium in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.  Cadence connected with approximately 800 attendees from local industries, and academic experts.  Taiwan is renowned as one of the IC design power houses globally and the VLSI Design/CAD Symposium, which plays an important role in stimulating local research, is aimed at providing an open forum for professors, industrial engineers and graduate students to exchange cutting-edge RD knowledge and ideas in the fields of SoC/ASIC design and EDA research.

Dr. Qi Wang, Cadence Vice President & Chief of Staff to the CEO, delivered the industry keynote to address the topic of Systems of Systems – The Next Frontier of Semiconductor Design. Qi’s speech received positive feedback as did interactions with professors about industry trends and Cadence technology.

Cadence culture and team spirit were specially addressed in a Cadence recruitment session presented to approximately 200 students.  In addition, the Cadence Taiwan team hosted a booth in the EXPO promoting the Cadence Academic Network and recruiting activity.
