Cadence Tech Days at ITMO and MIET

Cadence Academic Network organizes TechDays in Russia to promote leading-edge technologies and methodologies at universities and to foster contacts to the local aligned companies. We know that students either work already at these companies, or will be recruited by them once they have completed their studies. By presenting the latest state-of-the-art tools and flows, they will be enabled to master these new design capabilities at their future work place.

This time the Tech Days were held at the Russian universities of ITMO, one of the leading higher education and research institutions, specializing in Information Technology, Optical Design and Engineering, and MIET, an advanced university training professionals in microelectronics, nanotechnology in electronics, information and telecommunication technologies, fundamental sciences, and more.

The Tech Days were split into two parts.The 1st part was dedicated to Cadence solutions presented by Cadence employees. During the 2nd part, several Cadence customers presented their experience using Cadence tools. The Cadence team consisted of Jens Stellmacher, Feodor Merkelov, Denis Orlov, and Anton Borovich.

• “Cadence new software: Genus - latest solutions in the field of digital synthesis” (Fedor Merkelov)
• “Cadence new software: Innovus - modern level of digital devices design” (Denis Orlov)
• "Experience of using Cadence software” (Yuri Zavalin, Deputy Director at MRI Progress)
• "Experience of using Cadence Incisive to create and debug tests SoC system level" (Fedor Putrya, Group Leader Verification team, at ELVEES).
