Cadence Academic Network was the exclusive sponsor of the first ever China Integrated Microsystem Simulation and Modeling Master Thesis Contest. The contest was hosted by the Integrated Microsystem Modeling and Simulation Committee, China Simulation Federation and co-chaired by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and East China Normal University. The contest attracted more than 50 participants, from professors to master’s and PhD students in the filed of integrated microsystem simulation and modeling.
On the day of the event, there were 6 talks in the morning session. There were 4 talks given by academia from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, East China Normal University, and Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is a great opportunity for industry to hear about academic achievements. There were also 2 speakers from industry companies.
Cadence played a role in the success of this event in more ways than just sponsorship. A Software Engineering Director from the Custom IC & PCB Group (CPG), delivered a talk titled “Clarity 3D Soler and System Analysis” to introduce the new Cadence product and there were also 2 Cadence employees who were judges for the Master Thesis Contest.
It was a great opportunity for Cadence to engage with talent at top tier universities and has opened conversations for collaboration with professors at the participating universities.
