Introducing DATE 2022 Young People Program

1 Feb 2022 • 3 minute read

The DATE conference, the biggest EDA conference in Europe will find place 14-23.03.2022, as virtual event. The Young People Program (YPP) at DATE conference is an initiative targeting PhD students with the goal of supporting their career development. Several initiatives are planned to support that goal.

Career Fair

PhD students will have an opportunity to present themselves to potential employers from EDA and microelectronics industries. The open positions will be posted to the HiPEAC.org job portal and the attendees will have the possibility to submit their CVs to apply for certain positions. If there is interest from company side, interviews will be arranged during the DATE conference.

On March 2nd, before the conference, there will be a “Meet the Recruiter Call” where students can ask Cadence recruiters about the optimization of their CV and how to present themselves effectively in an interview. On March 16th, the participating companies have a chance to introduce themselves to the participants of the Career Fair.

In order to apply for participation in DATE Career fair, please fill out following form: https://www.date-conference.com/career-fair/student-preregistration. For more information on the Career Fair, please follow this link.

Tutorial on Using Organic Printed Electronics PDK (OPDK) to design circuits for Integrated Sensor Platforms

While not part of the Young People Program, but still interesting for young researchers is a tutorial, which is organized by the 2Horizons consortium, which has spent the last three years on creation of a process for organic printed electronics process. Cadence is part of the project and supported creation of the OPDK. In the video below you can see the creation of a demonstrator using the OPDK. During the tutorial you will be able to try out creating designs using this PDK and Cadence tools installed in Euro practice cloud environment. More information on tutorial you will find following this link.

Details to the multiple events of the YPP program are available here: https://www.date-conference.com/young-people-program
