This Week in CFD - Double Issue

28 Feb 2022 • 1 minute read

Instead of one week's worth of CFD news you get two today, mostly because sharing This Week in CFD from 18 February slipped through the cracks. My mistake is your gain on this Monday morning. What's in store?

From the 18 Feb 2022 edition of This Week in CFD #464.

  1. CFD of a gin & tonic.
  2. Plenty of CFD jobs (including many with the Cadence CFD team).
  3. CFD for a unicorn.
  4. A very nice video explanation of how to determine whether two shapes intersect.
  5. And a lot more.

A wonderful visualization of delta wing vortices shared by FYFD. See the link in This Week in CFD #465.

And from the 25 Feb 2022 edition of This Week in CFD #465.

  1. An article about hype in technology marketing.
  2. The 10 biggest myths in aerodynamics.
  3. Advocacy for all technical papers to remain free and open permanently.
  4. An eye-catching animation of a hypersonic benchmark case for next year's aeroelasticity workshop.
  5. And again, a whole lot more.

I'll end by violating one of the rules of blogging and social media marketing and give you a "call to action" that's different from the primary purpose of this post. And since I doubled-down on the This Week in CFDs above, I'm going to double-down on the conflicting calls to action by giving you two.

CadenceLIVE Silicon Valley 8-9 June 2022

First, the call for papers for June's CadenceLIVE is open until 18 March. I encourage you to share how you're innovating with Cadence's CFD software.

CFD Jobs at Cadence

Second, the Cadence CFD has a lot of job openings in both Brussels and Fort Worth. The link below takes you to our main Search for Jobs page where you can use the filters to find the specific openings in each location.
