This Week in CFD

29 Oct 2021 • Less than one minute read

Despite this being the Halloween time of year, this week's roundup of CFD news isn't so scary. In fact it's full of good news.

  1. Several upcoming events will either be 100% in-person or hybrid.
  2. A lot of organizations, including Cadence, are hiring for CFD jobs.

But what else can you expect?

  1. CFD applications involving the nose, firearms, trees, and a motorcycle with a hole. (Not all at once.)
  2. A really great aerodynamics lecture that dispels common misconceptions.
  3. Two great examples of structured grids (aka mapped meshes).
  4. And the proverbial "much, much more."

A really cool example of a structured grid around an airfoil that uses mesh topology to ensure that mesh clustering near the airfoil surface doesn't unnecessarily extend to the farfield. Grid generated by Hesam Tofighian using Pointwise.

So click thru to read This Week in CFD #452 on Another Fine Mesh.
