This Week in CFD

7 Jun 2021 • 1 minute read

I hope you didn't think I had forgotten. But last Friday was a tad busy so I didn't have a chance to share This Week in CFD here.

So let's start the week with some CFD news and some good news at that. A lot of financials have been reported for Q1 and they're all looking up, a great sign for the CAE business coming out of the pandemic. Someone published a study about HPC usage for and some of the results are interesting such as, the sweet spot for simulation runtime seems to be 3-8 hours. Several big events coming up this month including CadenceLIVE Americas, the International Meshing Roundtable, and the 2nd ELEMENT workshop. Democratization is back in the news as a possible reason for the growth of the CAE market yet I wonder whether democratization is just a fancy work for improving your software's UI and workflow.

All this and more over on Another Fine Mesh.

Here's a cool CFD application from our friends at Turbostream of an aircraft taking off in a crosswind. Click through to This Week in CFD at Another Fine Mesh using the link above and see all the details about this app.
