This Week in CFD

23 Jul 2021 • Less than one minute read

Given that I'm perpetually late on sharing This Week in CFD here on the Cadence CFD blog, I ought to start calling it This Weekend in CFD or Last Week in CFD. But now that we're here...

  1. What does a DNS computation on 450,000 cores and a CFD 2030 event at AIAA Aviation have in common with Van Gogh's Starry Night? They all involve fluid turbulence.
  2. The next several weeks are gloriously full of CFD and meshing events.
    1. MeshTrends
    2. Industrial Applications of IGA
    3. AIAA Aviation with two papers co-authored by Pointwise R&D team members at Cadence.
  3. You can learn new words like retopology and deaeration.
  4. If you're interested in open source software for CFD and CAE you'll find a long list.

And for the sporting fans among you, aerodynamics is much more important to football than you might think. And by football I mean soccer.

All this and software releases and CFD applications awaits you in This Week in CFD edition #439 on Another Fine Mesh.
